Work Doodles

To "rev-up (my) friars" I do some warm-up doodles on post-it notes before storyboarding at work. Here are some of my favorites.

Plankton Expression

I love doing expressions so on the movie I did multiple alternative drawings in case something worked better or was funnier. I did a lot of poses for this one Plankton expression in particular and I figured I'd show a little collage of them, as well as the final drawing.

Sponge Out of Water

I can finally start uploading some of my work from the new Spongebob Movie 2 (go see it in theaters!) I'm going to get around writing a post about my experience as an artist working on the movie and what it was like learning these characters. There are at least a thousand character layout drawings I have backed up on my hard drive but I'm obviously not going to upload them all...Here are some of my favorite shots/expressions.
