Character Designs (4/19/13)

Studying African tribal art (Burkina, Angola, and Mali) for character designs.

Here's a little treat. My teacher keeps calling my way of drawing "Ren and Stimpy style" (aka John Kricfalusi's style) and he really wants our class to study mythology, in order to understand design, so I made worlds collide!

Assorted Work

Been working on new designs for Ene Won.

Here is the beginnings of a portrait I started today for a commission. I painted it on Photoshop and then used the cutout effect. The graphic style may be tossed for a line drawing, I'll probably have a few different goes at it.

Doodles (1/22/13)

Behold! The Grand Duchess of the Hamburger Patty! The Grand Duchess, also known as Mrs. Featherdime, is the richest woman in all of La La Land. Being the widow to the Duke who invented hamburger buns she lives in luxury with her husband's will money. Her butler is a little penguin-like man. They are both very snooty and Posh.

Her style is inspired by William Hogarth (an early caricaturist.)

This woman is a famous fashion model/designer who travels across the world in search of new talent. Her face is inspired by graffitied fashion magazine covers that have penciled on uni-brows, mustaches, and goatees. Her look, mannerisms, and pretentious attitude are all inspired by Lady Gaga and Madonna.

Ene Won (redesign)

More designs of Ene. He has to be awkward, cute, and easy to relate to. He needs to have warm colors because he is a very kind character.

Cars for "Kooka Macabre"

Working on some designs for Papa Ghanoush's car. I think I need to take the stereotypical "hippie van" route but I'll slap on some wood paneling to give it that classic tacky 60s look.

Doodles (11/26/12) and Voice Acting

More doodles of Homeless Snail Man (HSM) and a couple of Frank Whino. I'm working on Frank's pro-wrestler alter-ego, "Wrist Breaker."

I've always dreamed of who I would want to voice my characters. In a perfect world, HSM would be voiced by Bobcat Goldthwait and Frank Whino would be voiced by Wayne Knight. They are both amazing actors and 2 of my favorites! Here are examples of what I imagine my characters to sound like:

Bobcat's famous neurotic character that he used play as in his old stand up routines:
Wayne as Nedry from Jurassic Park:
